New Year, New You... Make it last!

Feeling a little bloated and in need of a good cleanse? Here are my 3 tips for a sustainable 'New Year, New You'.

 

No matter how much you have indulged this Christmas, DON'T go crazy with the detox! 

 

If you are really looking to make sustainable changes, i.e. LONG TERM CHANGES to your weight and general fitness, look at making 3 simple and realistic changes to your diet and lifestyle. Here are my top 3...

 

 1) Aim for 5 booze free days/ week 

 

 2) Stop counting calories and instead think about 'nutritional value'. Don't deceive yourself... diet / fat free/ low fat versions are NOT the healthy options, they are packed full of artificial sweeteners and sugar. Instead go for a smaller quantity of your full fat version.

 

 3) Start describing yourself as a healthy person. Change starts from within, so by thinking of yourself as a 'fit, healthy eater' you will start to question the behaviours and eating habits that you know deep down are not helping you!
